26th Annual MCLA Athletics Golf Classic raises over $47k
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Earlier this fall the MCLA Athletic Department hosted its 26th annual golf classic at the Wyndhurst Golf and Club. The event is held each year to benefit the student-athletes and the athletic programs at the college. MCLA recognizes a deserving person or business that has impacted MCLA athletics. This year's honoree was Denise Marshall of the class of 1981. Marshall is a member of the MCLA Board of Trustees and is the former executive vice president of Adams Community Bank.
Mountain One was the lead sponsor of the event that kicked off with a shotgun start at 11 AM in an 18-hole scramble format. The day also featured bonuses, including hole-in-one prize holes, a closest-to-the-pin contest, and a longest-drive competition. An awards reception followed the golf tournament.
MCLA Athletics thanks all the sponsors and golfers who made the day a success, raising in excess of $47,000 for what is the Trailblazers' largest fundraiser of the year.
