27th Annual MCLA Athletics Golf Classic raises over $48k
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Last Monday, September 23rd, the MCLA Athletic Department hosted its 27th annual golf classic at the Wyndhurst Golf and Club in Lenox, Massachusetts. The event is held each year to benefit the student-athletes and the athletic programs at the college. At the Classic, MCLA recognizes a deserving person or business that has impacted MCLA athletics. This year's honoree was Jason Dohaney of the class of 2004. Dohaney is a financial advisor at MountainOne Investments and chair of the MCLA Foundation.
Mountain One was the event's lead sponsor, which kicked off with a shotgun start at 11 AM in an 18-hole scramble format. The team of Dan Trombley, Nicholas Trombley, Jeffrey Hancock, and Stephin Wallace had a total net of ten under par, shooting a 61. The day also featured bonuses, including a closest-to-the-pin contest and a longest-drive competition. An awards reception followed the golf tournament.
