Paige Fairman, Women's Soccer

Psychology/Social Work Major

Fairman is a captain on the MCLA Women's Soccer team.  She is a four year letter winner and an integral part of the team's defensive unit.  Fairman's leadership has been evident from the time she stepped on campus and she will graduate in May.

Here are some reasons why MCLA is the place for Fairman:

Why did you choose to attend your institution?

The moment I stepped onto this campus, it felt like home. The sense of family here is strong, and that's exactly what I was looking for in a college.

Why did you choose to be a division III student-athlete?
Soccer is my passion and I wanted a place where I could pursue that further, all the while still being able to focus on my academics. My team also became my second family and I am forever thankful for that.

How do you feel about your division III experience in regards to helping you with future endeavors?
Being part of a team at the DIII level is an experience where you learn a lot about yourself and how you interact with others. I have fine tuned my time management skills, learned how to handle different people and realized I can have a positive effect on people. All these things are important in the field of social work and having the opportunity to learn them gives me an advantage.
