Christian, Dunn take home top awards at MCLA athletics banquet
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Athletics department held their annual banquet Tuesday evening in the Amsler Campus Center. The annual event brings the entire athletics department together to celebrate the accomplishments from the past academic year.
While many awards were handed out, the top awards are the Sue Getchell and Louis Parisien honors. The Getchell and Parisien Awards are given out to the top female and male scholar athlete. Volleyball player Julia Christian was awarded the Getchell award after a solid career on the court. Golf's Taylor Dunn took home the Parisien award as he has been the top golfer for the past two seasons.
Other awards handed out included the SAAC awards (Presidential, Fan of the Year, and Blazing Trails), the Steve Green Service award, the Student Service award, Team MVP's, Faculty Athletics Representative awards, Director awards, and honoring of all the seniors within the department.
