Preite and Slattery named to All MASCAC Baseball teams
North Adams, MA- The MASCAC has announced the All Conference teams this afternoon. MCLA's Chase Preite and Rory Slattery were both named to the second team. The honor is the first for both players.
Preite was a force in the middle of the Trailblazer lineup batting a team best .403. He led the team with 14 RBI and also drew 15 walks for an impressive .524 on base average. The junior belted nine doubles and scored 6 runs. He had a four hit game in a win over RIC and reached base safely in 21 of 24 games.
Slattery batted .301 for the Trailblazers. He collected 8 RBI and scored 5 times. The junior hit three doubles and a pair of triples, including a game winning three bagger in a win over Becker. Slattery was also a force defensively at third base for MCLA.
The Trailblazers wrapped up their season on Monday.
