Baseball upended by Dickinson in Florida

Winter Haven, FL- Dickinson's Ryan Dolan hit for the cycle (4-5) and the Red Devil baseball team swiped ten bases on the afternoon as they routed the MCLA Trailblazers 19-4 this afternoon in the RussMatt Invitational.  The Red Devils are now 10-3 on the season while MCLA drops to 2-4.

The score was tied at 4-4 in the top of the fifth as MCLA's Ryan Shook and Liam Nolan drove in runs.  Dickinson responded off Nolan, the Trailblazer starter, in the bottom half of the inning.  They started the inning with five straight hits with the key blows coming from Stephen Sakowicz and Max Brown.  

After five they led 8-4 before exploding for 9 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning off of the MCLA bullpen.  Dolan and Robbie Thompson hit back to back homers to fuel the rally putting the game out of reach.

For the game, the Red Devils collected 19 hits compared to 8 for the Trailblazers.

MCLA's Nolan threw well in his five innings of work yielding the five runs, however just one was earned.  He also collected a pair of hits for the Trailblazers.

Alex Gusikoff earned the win tossing 2.1 innings out of the bullpen and allowing just two hits.  Ian Brink started for Dickinson and went the first 4.2 innings.

MCLA is back at it tomorrow at 2pm challenging Colby-Sawyer at 2pm.
