Baseball ends spring trip on four game win streak as they handle Farmington 12-4

Davenport, FL-- The MCLA Baseball team finally found their stride as they closed their nine game Florida trip with a convincing 12-4 win over Maine-Farmington this morning in Davenport.  The Trailblazers will head north with a record of 5-6.  The Beavers are now 0-3 on the season.

Each team pushed a run across in the first inning and then MCLA grabbed the lead for good with a run in the second and then a five run outburst in the third.  Senior Austin Rachiele's double scored the run in the second while Ty Mazzeo had an RBI knock in the third.  MCLA was the beneficiary of some Beaver wildness as they scored on two walks and a wild pitch in the frame.

Leading 7-1 after three innings, MCLA put the game out of reach with a four run fifth.  Randy Adams, Mazzeo, and Robinson Guerrero-Baez all drove in runs in the inning.

The offensive support was plenty for Trailblazer starting pitcher Robert Correia.  He tossed the first five innings and allowed just three hits, one earned run, and struck out five.  Bryan Rosario threw the next three frames while Brett Norman closed things out with a scoreless ninth.

Adams ended 3-5 with a pair of RBI's.  Isaiah Mack and Mazzeo each ended with a pair of hits as well.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday when they make the short trip over to RPI to begin the northern part of their schedule.
