Adams earns MASCAC Player of the Week honors

North Adams, MA- MCLA senior first baseman Randy Adams (Fullerton, CA) was named MASCAC Player of the Week as announced by the league offices this afternoon. Brodey Tinkham of Mass Maritime was selected as Pitcher of the Week and Framingham State's freshman outfielder Jacob Buontempo took home Rookie of the Week honors.

Adams batted .625 (10-16) with four doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI, nine runs scored with a 1.250 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage in a 4-0 week for the Trailblazers.

Going 3-for-5 with a double, home run, three runs scored, and five RBI in a 15-9 win over Gallaudet University to open the week, Adams then went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, walk, five runs scored and five RBI in a doubleheader sweep over Maine-Presque Isle. He capped off his week with another 3-for-5 performance, this time doubling and driving in two as MCLA downed Maine Farmington 12-4.

After a strong finish to their Florida swing, Adams and the Trailblazers will look to keep things rolling as they return to action this Wednesday for a 3pm nonconference tilt at RPI.
