Jacob Claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honors

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA's Benjamin Jacob has been selected as the MASCAC Baseball Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league earlier today.

The freshman outfielder from Pittsfield, MA batted .500 (4-for-8) with four walks, four stolen bases, two RBI, and three runs scored along with a .667 on base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage while helping MCLA to a 2-1 week. He went 1-for-4 with two walks, a run, and a stolen base in a nonconference 13-12 win at Elms on Wednesday and 3-for-4 with two walks, two runs scored, and three stolen bases in a split doubleheader against Framingham State on Friday.

Jacob and MCLA are back in action Wednesday when they travel to Longley Athletic Complex and Dean College for a non-conference matchup with the Bulldogs. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
