Men's Basketball stymied at Conn College

New London, CT- The Connecticut College men's basketball team placed five players in double figures led by Isaiah Robinson's game high 19 point effort as they cruised past MCLA 95-55 this evening in non conference action.  The Camels are now 1-0 on the season while MCLA drops to 0-2.

Lee Messier ended with 16 points and 8 rebounds while Tyler Rowe added 13 points for Conn. College.  David Labossiere and Daniel Janel ended with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Nolan Bird led MCLA with 14 points and he pulled down 6 boards.  Joe Wiggins added 13 points and Collin Parrott had 10.  The Trailblazers were doomed by 26 turnovers and shot just 31% in the loss.

Conn College jumped out right from the start as they never trailed.  It was 7-0 early and eventually they doubled up MCLA at 40-20 before settling on a 57-30 halftime lead.

They were never challenged in the second half and cruised to victory.

Conn. College shot 52% from the floor and owned a 45-34 edge off the glass.

MCLA will wrap up the weekend tomorrow when they play the Coast Guard Academy at 4pm.
