Yearsley earns second MASCAC rookie of the week honor

MASCAC Weekly Report

North Adams, MA- MCLA first year guard Noah Yearsley (Averill Park, NY) has been selected as the MASCAC rookie of the week for the second time this season following a stellar performance against Worcester State this weekend.   Yearsley took home the same honor back on November 27th.

Bridgewater State's Rayshon Ward was tabbed as the conference's player of the week after having a big day against the Trailblazers last Wednesday.

Yearsley was outstanding in a pair of games for MCLA, both conference matchups shooting a torrid 62% on the week.  In the loss to the Bears, Yearsley scored 10 points with 3 assists, one rebound and a steal.  He would follow that performance up with one of his best of the season in a home tilt with Worcester State.

In that contest, Yearsley notched 23 points and added 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals in MCLA's 81-76 win.  He went 9-12 from the floor, which included an impressive 5-6 showing from three point range.  The win snapped a 16 game conference losing streak for the Trailblazers as MCLA improved to 1-2 in the conference.

Yearsley currently leads the team in scoring at 13.5 points per game.

The Trailblazers will continue MASCAC play on Wednesday night when they travel to Fitchburg State.
