NORTHFIELD, VT. – The MCLA Men's Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season this evening, dropping an 81-66 non-conference game against the Norwich University Cadets. Senior guard Dylan Morris-Gray led the Trailblazers with 16 points, trailing only the Cadets' Joe Joe DuBrul, who had 17 points.

WHAT WENT DOWN

  • Dylan Morris-Gray paced the Trailblazers with a team-high 16 points on 6-11 shooting, including a 4-8 performance from beyond the three-point arc. Morris-Gray also contributed five boards and two assists.
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Mills pulled down a game-high six rebounds as MCLA did enjoy a 36-26 advantage on the boards. Mills finished the game with 11 points.
  • Fellow sophomore Jaxen Potter added another five boards and six points in 19 minutes off the bench.
  • Jake Bluestein was the third MCLA player to reach double-digits, scoring 10 points on 3-5 shooting in 14 minutes.
  • The Achilles heel for the Trailblazers was a 20-2 deficit on points off turnovers, with MCLA committing 18 turnovers to the Cadets' six.
  • Norwich's Joe Joe DuBrul led a quartet of Cadets to score double digits, putting up a game-high 17 points. The other members of the quartet were Jalen Olivero (14 points), Charles Nogard (12 points), and Kohlby Murray (11 points).
