WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The MCLA Men's Basketball team traveled down Route 2 to meet up with neighboring Williams College at the Chandler Gymnasium. Quentin Gittens recorded his third double-double of the season, but the Trailblazers fell to the Ephs 56-41.

WHAT WENT DOWN

  • The game was close early, with the Trailblazers trailing by only two points as late as just over seven minutes remaining before Williams closed out the first half on a 10-2 run.
  • The Ephs pulled away in the second half, getting the lead to as high as 19 points with 3:11 to go before MCLA closed back to within 13 before a pair of made foul shots with two seconds on the clock set the final margin at 15 points.
  • Quentin Gittens finished the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
  • Amherst had a balanced attack, with six players scoring at least five points, led by 13 points each from Cole Prowitt-Smith and Alex Lee.
