Cota third overall in MCLA invitational, team finishes second
Led by freshman Sean Cota's (Adams, MA) 78, MCLA finished second in the MCLA invitational this afternoon at Waubeeka Golf Links. Cota finished third in the individual competition. Westfield State College won the event posting a score of 323. MCLA was second, ten strokes off the pace. SUNY Cobleskill finished in third place followed by Elms College.
Cota was followed by sophomore Shane Ortega (Pittsfield, MA) who carded an 82. Rounding out the scores for MCLA were Adam Ciborowski with an 85, while Andrew Polidoro and Matt Babeu each carded 88.
Westfield State's Brett Williamson was medalist carding a 76 for the top spot.
