Waterville, ME- MCLA Senior Sean Cota carded a second day 77 to finish at 155, good enough for a T-5 finish, at the NAC Championships held at Waterville Country Club.  The Trailblazers finished in seventh place in the team competition.

Husson University went out and dominated play on day two of the 2012 North Atlantic Conference Golf Championship, successfully capturing its seventh straight NAC golf crown on Sunday.

The Eagles shot a 294 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 609 on the par 70, 6267-yard Waterville course, winning the title in convincing fashion by 12 strokes over second place Salem State University (621). Husson ended Saturday's opening round with a one-stroke lead over Salem State.

Castleton State College (639) was third, followed by the University of Maine at Farmington (651).

Husson's Lance Bernier earned medalist honors after carding a two-day score of 145; his round of 70 on Sunday was the only par round of the event. Teammate Greg Martin won NAC Rookie of the Year honors after firing a 74 on Sunday for a two-day total of 155.

Castleton State's Bryan Fitzgerald was second overall with a 77-73-150, while UMaine-Farmington's Orion Cochrane (80-73) and Salem State's Matt Sebet (77-76) were tied for third with a total score of 153.
