Boraski paces MCLA at Westfield Invitational
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Led by freshman Patrick O'Neil's low medalist round of 73, the Westfield State White Team edged Rhode Island College in the Westfield State University men's golf Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Tekoa Country Club.
MCLA Freshman Cam Boraski shot a 79 to lead the Trailblazers. Teammate Taylor Dunn was next with an 80.
With O'Neil and three other Owls shooting in the 70s, the Westfield White Team shot an aggregate total of 303. RIC, which also had four players shoot in the 70s, finished with a 305 total.
The Westfield connection of Rory Wilkowich and Scott Walker shot 76 and 77, respectively. Carding a key round of 77 was Westfield senior Joe Cooper. Three RIC players – Partrick Ford, Tim Leigh, Corey Patalano - tied Wilkowich for runner-up medalist honors with 76s. Ryan Butler shot a 77 for the Anchormen.
Led by junior Brandon Stanowicz's 78, the Westfield Blue Team placed third with a 334 total. Worcester State placed fourth in the seven-team invitational with a 339, followed by MCLA (348), Wentworth (349), and Becker (359).
