Trailblazers Take Third Place at Brett Williamson Invitational
WESTFIELD, Mass. - MCLA Golf met up with their closest geographical MASCAC neighbor for a round of golf this afternoon at the Tekoa Country Club as part of the Brett Williamson Invitational. The Trailblazers and Owls were joined on the links by New England College, Worcester State University, Rhode Island College, Mitchell College, Dean College, Keene State University, and Lesley University
New England College won the team title with a score of +23, while Worcester State (+32) finished second and MCLA (+41) finished third.
Mitchell College's Shamus McLean earned individual title honors with his 3-over 74, besting New England College's Graham Hassan in a one-hole playoff. McClean birdied on Tekoa's first hole and finished with a birdie while Hassan was in a sand trap and conceded.
Mat Gover led the Trailblazers, finishing tied for 8th (+7).
