Gover Wins Third Straight MASCAC Golfer of the Week Award
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— For the third consecutive week MCLA's Mat Gover (Atkinson, NH) has been selected as the MASCAC Golf Athlete of the Week. Springfield College sophomore Matthew Kumpulanian earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Gover earned his second straight MASCAC Individual Championship after shooting a two-day total of 142 (71-71) to finish two under at the 2024 MASCAC Golf Championship and led the Trailblazers to a runner-up finish at the MASCAC Championship team competition. Gover also finished 8th (+7) at Westfield State's Brett Williamson Invitational.
Gover and the MCLA Golf team will compete next in the two-round Skidmore Invitational on October 12th and 13th at Saratoga State Park.
