Gover Repeats as MASCAC Golfer of the Year, Roeder Earns All-Conference Honors, Ketts Voted Coach of the Year

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Fresh off the heels of their second consecutive runner-up finish in last weekend's MASCAC Golf Championship, the MCLA Golf team was well represented in the league's All-Conference award announcements made earlier today.

For the second straight year Mat Gover has won the Player of the Year award and again has been named to the All-Conference First-Team. In addition, fellow Trailblazer Paul Roeder earned All-Conference Second Team honors and head coach Jeremiah Ketts has been voted as the MASCAC Golf Coach of the Year. Springfield College sophomore Matthew Kumpulanian won Rookie of the Year.

Joining Gover on the 2024 All-Conference First-Team is Chase Manion of Marymount, Daniel DeLisio and Colin Richmond of Salem State and Jack Ryan of Worcester State.

Along with Roeder and Kumpulanian on the All-Conference Second Team are Nititorn Chimjiw of Marymount, Ethan Doyle of Salem State, Amir Adonlino of Springfield.

Gover's earned his second-straight Player of the Year award and second-straight All-Conference First-Team appearance after repeating as the Individual MASCAC Golf Championship with a 2-under, two-round performance at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick (Mass.). Roeder finished tied for eighth in the championship.

Coach Ketts has led MCLA to two team titles this year at the VTSU Badgers Invitational and the MCLA Invitational as well as guiding the Trailblazers to their second-place finish at the MASCAC Championship.

The MCLA Golf team will compete next in the two-round Skidmore Invitational on October 12th and 13th at Saratoga State Park.
