Gover Claims Fifth MASCAC Golfer of the Week Award
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— For the second straight week and fifth time this Fall, MCLA's Mat Gover (Atkinson, NH) has been selected as the MASCAC Golfer of the Week. Marymount's Chase Manion, Springfield's David Girouard and Salem State's Ethan Doyle made the MASCAC Golf Weekly Honor Roll.
Gover capped off his fall schedule with an impressive performance tying for seventh place last weekend in the 2024 NEIGA Championship played at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
Gover's tournament featured 7 birdies and an eagle on the par 5, 13th hole on Sunday. The two-time reigning MASCAC Golfer of the Year shot 74 (+2) in each round with a tournament total of 148 (+4).
