Gover earns MASCAC Goalie of the Week
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Freshman Goaltender Mathew Gover (Atkinson, NH / East Coast Wizards) has been named the MASCAC Goalie of the Week. UMass-Dartmouth's Michael Perrone (Mt. Sinai, NY / Aberdeen Wings (NAHL)) and Collin Patterson (Rockledge, FL / Florida Eels (USPHL)) were named the Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Gover picks up Goalie of the Week after going 2-0 between the pipes this week with a 1.00 GAA and a .968 save percentage in a pair of league wins for MCLA. The freshman goaltender made 40 saves in a 3-1 win at Salem State on Thursday and turned away 21 Owl shots in another 3-1 decision against Westfield State. Gover and the Trailblazers are back in action this Thursday when they travel to Framingham State to play the Rams at the Loring Arena. The puck drops at 7:40 PM.
