Gover Claims MASCAC Goalie of the Week Honors

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA's Mathew Gover has been selected as the MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week as announced by the league earlier today.
The sophomore goalie went 2-0 with a 1.00 GAA and a .981 save percentage while making 106 total saves in MCLA's quarterfinal and semifinal 2024-25 MASCAC Tournament wins. Made 43 stops in a 2-1 win at #1 seed Plymouth State and then turned back a season-high 63 shots in another 2-1 decision at #2 Anna Maria to propel the Trailblazers to the championship game at # 4 seed Fitchburg State this Saturday.
Gover and MCLA are back in action on Saturday when they travel to the Wallace Civic Center and Fitchburg State for a MASCAC Playoffs Finals matchup with the Falcons. The puck will drop at 4 p.m.
