Men's Lacrosse set for inaugural season with 12 game slate
North Adams, MA- It's been a long wait, but the MCLA Men's Lacrosse program is eager to get things underway. In just 12 days, the Trailblazers will play their first varsity game at the friendly confines of Shewcraft Field. In their inaugural season, MCLA will play a 12 game schedule, including seven at home.
MCLA will begin their program journey with four of their first five contests played at home. On February 22nd, MCLA will welcome the College of Saint Vincent (CMSV) to Shewcraft field as the Trailblazers play in their program opener. Game time is set for 2pm. After a week off, MCLA welcomes Mitchell College to North Adams for another non league tilt also at 2pm.
A road match follows as MCLA heads to Albertus Magnus on March 3rd before closing the opening stand with two more home tilts. On Tuesday, March 10th, MCLA welcomes Becker before hosting their first conference matchup. The Trailblazers will compete in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) in 2020. MCLA hosts Northern Vermont-Lyndon on Saturday, March 14th in the league opener.
Over spring break, MCLA will make a long trek to Keystone College for a non league contest before returning to Shewcraft Field on the 21st for a NAC matchup with Thomas College.
MCLA will head to Canton on the 28th of March and then close out the home schedule with matches against Husson (4/4) and SUNY Cobleskill (4/8). The Trailblazers end their regular season with two road trips, the first of which is to Maine Maritime on the 11th and then wrap up the regular season on the 18th at SUNY Delhi.
The NAC postseason tournament is scheduled for the week of April 20-25th.
