Men’s Lacrosse to support HEADstrong Foundation with Lace Up game against Husson

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—This Saturday at 10am the MCLA and Husson University Men's Lacrosse teams will be showing their support for the HEADstrong Foundation with a Lace Up game at Shewcraft Field.

The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by the late Nick "Head" Colleluori, a former Hofstra University lacrosse player who towards the end of his freshman season was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system.

Recognizing a lack of resources for cancer patients and their families, Colleluori created the HEADstrong Foundation from his hospital bed to raise awareness and funds for cancer by empowering athletes to support his mission.

Players during Saturday's game will be wearing lime green laces to raise awareness, but also serve as a symbol of hope and strength uniting athletes, survivors and supporters to be relentless in the fight against cancer.
