Lacrosse Drop Game on the Road to SUNY Delhi

DELHI, N.Y. – The MCLA Lacrosse team took to the highways this evening for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup with the Broncos of SUNY Delhi. MCLA's Boden Dock and Walter Brown each found the back of the cage, but 11 different players did the same for SUNY Delhi, with five players scoring multiple goals. Anthony Ferrato led all scorers with three goals on four shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • SUNY Delhi scored early and often, scoring six goals in both the first and second period. The Broncos' lead stretched to 11 before MCLA scored their first goal.
  • Boden Dock (at 3:57, assisted by Walter Brown) was the Trailblazer doing the scoring, tallying his seventh goal of the season with Brown picking up his fifth helper of the season.
  • The Broncos did add one additional goal to conclude the first half with a 12-1 advantage.
  • SUNY Delhi tacked on two more goals in the third quarter to pull ahead 14-1.
  • In the fourth quarter MCLA cut the lead back to an even dozen when Brown (10:16, Ty Roadcap) scored the first goal of his collegiate career with just over 10 minutes left to play.
  • The hosts did add three additional goals to set the final score at 17-2.
  • Anthony Ferrato led all scorers with three goals while Chris Lazazzaro, Jackson Murphy, Andrew Sullivan, and Jagger Beachak each scored two.
  • The Broncos' Mike Triolo stopped three of the four shots he faced to come away with the win, improving to 5-2. Trailblazers' goalie Neal Brierley tied his career high with 22 saves but still fell to 1-6.
