Schuler Selected as NAC Co-Rookie of the Week

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Men's Lacrosse freshman goalie Hayden Schuler (North Tonowanda,NY) has been named as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Co-Rookie of the Week as announced by the league earlier today. Schuler shares this week's honor with Maine Maritime freshman attacker Tobey Lappin (South Portland, ME).
Schuler and Lappin are joined by Husson University's Kieran Field (Haymarket, VA.) and Owen Giorgio (East Greenwich, R.I.) who were selected as Player and Defensive Player of the week, respectively.
Schuler helped lead MCLA to its first win of the season making 27 saves, collecting six ground balls and holding host Hilbert College scoreless in the second half to set up a dramatic 7-6 double-overtime comeback victory for the Trailblazers.
The Men's Lacrosse team is back in action this Wednesday as MCLA travels to Albertus Magnus College for a 7pm face-off.
