Men's Soccer earns non conference win over Albertus Magnus 2-0

Ct- The MCLA Men's Soccer team earned their second straight win this evening defeating Albertus Magnus 2-0 in non conference action.  With the win, MCLA improves to 5-8-2 on the season while Albertus drops to 9-8.

Christopher Valente scored in the opening half to give MCLA a 1-0 lead at halftime.  His marker was his second of the season for the Trailblazers.  In the second half, Tyler Vona connected to add some breathing room for MCLA in the 73rd minute.  Edward Boateng earned the assist for MCLA.

Kamron Anderson held Albertus Magnus scoreless with ten saves on the day. Griffin Volta takes the loss in goal for Albertus Magnus saving five shots and allowing two goals. 

Albertus actually outshot MCLA 25-13 in the contest but couldn't get one past Anderson.  They also held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Trailblazers next game is this Saturday October 31st at conference opponent Framingham State.
