Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State men's soccer team received two goals from MASCAC leading scorer Isaac De Souza (Sao Paulo, Brazil) en route to defeating visiting MCLA by a score of 3-0 in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Field. With the win the Rams improve to 6-7 and 3-1 in the MASCAC. The Trailblazers are now 3-9 and 1-3 in league play.

The Rams dominated the pace of play in the 1st half outshooting the Trailblazers 17-to-4 in the frame. They finally broke through for a tally in the 42nd minute after a MCLA foul, one of 13 in the frame, setup a Justin Hansen (Levittown, NY) kick that was headed in by De Souza for his first of the game.

The Rams added to their advantage just over five minutes into the second frame when Ken Stahovish (Springfield, Mass.) settled a 40-yard lead pass from De Souza and chipped it over the crashing keeper.

De Souza scored his second of the game just about 5 minutes later off a cross from Pedro Santos (Medford, Mass.) to extend the Rams lead to 3-0.

Corey Davidge (Blackstone, Mass.) made one stop in the shutout win for the Rams. Kamron Anderson (Springfield, Mass.) made ten saves in net for MCLA.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday, October 10th when they host Dean College. The Trailblazers are idle until Friday, October 16th when they travel to Fitchburg State.
