BUZZARDS BAY, Mass.— The MCLA Men's Soccer team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end tonight falling 2-0 at MASCAC rival Mass Maritime. With the result the Buccaneers improve to 2-6-0 (1-1-0 MASCAC) while the Trailblazers fall to 5-4-0 (1-1-0 MASCAC).

The teams were deadlocked in a scoreless tie in the 73rd minute when a Ryan Shouhou header off a rebound snuck past MCLA keeper Ryan Taylor (L, 5-3-0) to make it 1-0 Bucs. Less than eight minutes later, a Brody Calvert marker gave the hosts the insurance they were looking for enroute to the 2-0 league win.

The Buccaneers outshot the Trailblazers 19-13 along with a 6-2 advantage in corners. Maritime keeper Preston Joia (W, 2-6) made four saves in the win while Taylor stopped seven shots in the loss.

Mass Maritime is back in action on Tuesday at the University of New England while MCLA celebrates its senior day on Sunday as they host SUNY Poly at 2:30pm
