Men’s Soccer Drop Game to Mass. Maritime on Senior Night
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The MCLA Men's Soccer Team welcomed the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneers to Shewcraft Field for a MASCAC clash. Oliver Le Lacheur stopped 17 shots, but the Buccaneers got a pair of goals from Brody Calvert to leave with a 2-0 win.

- Series History: MCLA leads the all-time series 31-13-1. MMA took the last meeting of the teams by a score of 2-0, last season on September 27, 2024. MCLA won the first-ever match between the teams 10-1 on September 12, 1975.
SENIOR NIGHT
- Before the first game, the Trailblazers recognized the Men's Soccer program's graduating senior class as part of senior night. Michael Harris (Adams, MA) and Jacob Malburg (Amesbury, MA) were honored by coaches, teammates, family members, and fans for their time with the soccer program. Although their time with the program may end, they will forever be a part of the MCLA family.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Buccaneers picked up single tallies in both halves of the game. Both were credited to Brody Calvert (24', assisted by PJ Cullivan, and 75', assisted by James Munroe). The two-goal showing brought Calvert's season total to 11 and moved him into second place in the MASCAC.
- MCLA finished the night with four shots on goal, with their best opportunities coming in the first half with three shots. The Trailblazer shots on net were by William Lauria (Tom's River, NJ), Kyle Cardoso (Pittsfield, MA), Aiden Gonzalez (Schenectady, NY), and Gustavo de Oliveira (Pittsfield, MA).
- The Buccaneers enjoyed a 43-8 edge in shots, and a 19-4 advantage in shots on goal.
- Mass. Maritime's Preston Joia maintained a clean sheet, recording four saves to improve his record to 7-3-1. The Trailblazers' keeper, Oliver LeLacheur (Medford, MA), added 17 saves to his MASCAC-leading total but still saw his record fall to 3-9-0.
