Men's Tennis wraps up season with loss to Springfield

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Tennis team fell to visiting Springfield College 6-3 this afternoon in a match originally scheduled for yesterday.  With the loss, the Trailblazers finish their season at 3-7 overall.

MCLA earned all their points in singles competition, all on tiebreakers.  The number one singles match was tightly contested.  MCLA's Daniel Nesti earned the hard fought point over Zach O'Leary winning the tiebreaker 10-3.  Taylor Krowitz, playing out of the third singles slot, scratched out a 10-5 tiebreaking point over Alex Orban. 

Joseph Whitehouse perhaps played the match of the day as he rallied after losing the opening set to win the second set 6-3.  He then went on to win the tiebreaker by a score of 11-9 over Sean Seifert.

After splitting the singles matches though, Springfield swept the doubles pairings.  Nesti and Krowitz put up a fight but eventually fell 8-4 in the top spot.
