Green Mountain tops MCLA in Men's Tennis 7-2

North Adams, MA- Playing their second match less than ten days apart, the visiting Green Mountain Men's Tennis team walked away with their second straight victory over MCLA by a 7-2 margin.  The result was the same from their first encounter as the loss snapped a modest two game winning streak for MCLA, who is now 2-5 on the season.

Green Mountain improves to 7-0 overall.

The visitors took the second and third doubles slots to take a 2-1 lead heading into the singles matches.  GMC would win five out of six to cruise to victory.

Conner Braden handled Aaron Goldsmith in straight sets in the number one singles slot, while Jack Hepburn won 6-3, 6-0 in the third slot.  Truman Cressey, Grey, McCampell, and Jack Tiernan all earned singles victories.

Trailblazer Rob Wabshinak won the lone singles match for MCLA besting Nate Berner 6-2, 6-4 in the second slot.

In doubles, GMC's Braden and Berner fell to the Trailblazer duo of Wabshinak and Goldsmith 8-3.  The Eagles' McCompell and Hepburn earned a hard fought 8-4 doubles match, while Tiernan and Truman cruised 8-1 in the third slot.

MCLA is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Sage for a non conference matchup.
