Tennis picks up NAC win over Johnson State 8-1

Stowe, VT- The MCLA Men's Tennis team cruised past the Johnson State Badgers 8-1 this afternoon in a match played at the Top Notch indoor facility in Stowe, VT.  With the win, MCLA improves to 1-0 in NAC play with the victory.

The Trailblazers won all three doubles matches in convincing fashion.  Aaron Goldsmith and Rob Wabshinak earned an 8-0 win in the top slot, while Rich LaRocque and Michael Rooney earned a win in the second match.  Jeff Mason and Jared Freeman closed out the doubles points with an 8-3 win of their own.

MCLA won five of the six singles matches, all in straight sets.  Goldsmith and Wabshinak made quick work in the top two slots for their points.  Rooney won in the fourth slot while Mason and Freeman also earned their second points of the match.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Colby Sawyer.
