Tennis blanked by Thomas 9-0 at home

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Tennis team dropped a 9-0 NAC tilt this afternoon to visiting Thomas College.  The Trailblazers fall to 2-5 overall and sit at 2-2 in conference play.  The Terriers improve to 7-7 and are 4-1 in the NAC.

The visitors stormed through all the doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead.  Tyler Small and Zachary Disch won 8-4 over Aaron Goldsmith and Rob Wabshinak in the top doubles slot, while Nathan Philbrook and Ross Munn won a tight match 8-6 in the second slot.  Thomas would take the third doubles match 8-0 to build a lead heading into singles play.

Small defeated Goldsmith 6-4, 6-1 to earn another point while Disch took care of Wabshinak 7-5, 6-3.  Caleb Mora defeated Michael Rooney without dropping a game and Munn took care of Rich LaRocque in straight sets in the fourth slot.

Philbrook defeated Mason in the fifth singles match and Joseph Greco handled Jared Freeman in the sixth position.

MCLA will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Green Mountain.
