Jordan earns NAC rookie of the week honors for Mixed Tennis

NAC Tennis Weekly Honors

North Adams, MA- MCLA Mixed tennis player Mackenna Jordan (Lebanon, CT) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rookie of the week following her solid debut weekend for the Trailblazers.  John Folsom of NVU-Johnson was selected as the conference's player of the week.

Jordan began her collegiate tennis career paired with Charles Najimy in the third doubles slot. The duo would be pushed to a tiebreaker but ultimately prevailed 8-7 (7-3) earning a hard fought point for the Trailblazers in their season opening 7-2 setback versus Norwich on Saturday. 

The sophomore would follow that up by earning another point in a 7-2 win over NAC foe NVU-Johnson on Sunday.  Jordan would fall in doubles, however she would win her singles match 6-0, 6-0 to spark the team to victory.

Jordan is in her first season with the tennis program at MCLA.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday when they head to Castleton University for another non-league matchup with the Spartans.
