Gamble's fifth place finish leads MCLA at Castleton meet

Castleton, VT- The MCLA Men's Cross Country program received a fifth place finish from freshman Chris Gamble as he led the Trailblazers to a third place team finish at the Castleton invite.  Gamble's fifth place finish was his highest to date in a Trailblazer uniform.

The freshman covered the distance in a time of 29:14.  Gamble was two minutes behind Southern Vermont's Justin Ferguson, who took home individual honors.  Ferguson's finish helped lead the Mountaineers to the team championship as well.

Ryan McMahon was the next Trailblazer across the line finishing in 13th place.  Avery Woodbury was in 15th, while Drew Weisse and Adam Sleezer were 17th and 18th respectively.

Castleton was the meet runner up which also featured Johnson State, SUNY Canton, and Green Mountain.
