Quackenbush dominates, leads Softball to split with Worcester

Worcester, MA- The Trailblazers traveled to Worcester State for a conference double-header this afternoon. The Trailblazers came away with the win in the first game winning 2-0 but dropped the evening game 7-2. The Trailblazers now stand at 8-12, 2-2 in conference, and the Lancers are 8-7, 2-2.
Rachel Quackenbush was solid in the circle striking out 10 Lancer batters in seven innings. The Trailblazers got on the scoreboard when Amanda Meczywor hit a two run double to left field.
Quackenbush recorded her first win in a Trailblazers uniform.
MCLA dropped the nightcap giving up seven runs in the second inning. The Trailblazers pushed across two runs late in the game, but it wasn't enough to earn the sweep.
MCLA plays again on Tuesday when Springfield College visits Zavatarro complex. First game is set for 3:30 pm.
