Dobrovolc named to All Tournament team as MCLA downs UM-Fort Kent 83-56
Norwich, VT- Alie Dobrovolc scored a game high 23 points in leading MCLA past the University of Maine-Fort Kent 83-56 in the consolation game of the Hockenberry Classic hosted by Norwich University. With the win, the Trailblazers improve to 3-2 on the season.
Dobrovolc was named to the All Tournament team for her efforts.
MCLA quickly opened up a 10 point lead at halftime behind Dobrovolc's 13 points. They quickly dashed any hopes of a UM rally as they extended out to a 54-35 lead with just under 17:00 minutes to play following Dobrovolc's triple. UM never challenged from there.
Lucy Tremblay and Jen Wehner each contributed 17 points. Wehner collected a game high 12 rebounds, while Tremblay and Dobrovolc added double doubles of their own with 10 caroms apiece. Wehner added 5 blocks.
Danielle Scolpino added a career high 8 assists while Alyson Stolz added 6.
UM-Fort Kent was led by Taylor Boucher's 14 points, while Jennifer Colpitts and Megan Land had 12 and 11 respectively.
MCLA will travel to Johnson State on Monday evening.
