Hotaling selected to play in NEWBA Senior Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) has announced the selections for the 2017 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic, which will be held on Saturday, March 25 at Mount Holyoke College's Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium at 2 p.m. Trailblazer Kayla Hotaling has been selected to compete after a stellar career at MCLA.

Nominations for the NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic were submitted by both coaches and sports information directors in the region, and selections were made based on a vote of the coaches.

Hotaling was an All MASCAC selection after leading the team in scoring and rebounding. She became the seventh member of the 1,000 point club late in the season against Southern Vermont.  Hotaling will see some familiar faces at the senior game as Westfield's Jill Valley, Bridgewater's Jennie Lindland, and Framingham's Alycia Rackliffe will be on her team.

Hotaling is the first Trailblazer selected since Lucy Tremblay played back in 2013.
