Women's Basketball beaten by Williams

Williamstown, MA- Williams' Maggie Meehan and Mikaela Topper combined for 45 points as the Ephs cruised past the MCLA Trailblazers 97-45 this evening in Chandler Gymnasium. The game marked the season opener for Williams as they're now 1-0. The Trailblazers fall to 1-2 on the season.
Williams put this game away early as they led 25-13 after one quarter and increased the margin to 48-24 at the half. MCLA never threatened in the second half as they had trouble matching Williams' size and shooting.
Meehan was 9-15 from the floor which included a 4-7 showing from beyond the arc as she ended with a game best 23 points. She added 5 rebounds. Topper was 7-12 shooting and 5-9 from three for her 22 point night. Emily Chang chipped in with 11 points for the Ephs while Emily Peckham secured 9 rebounds.
The Ephs shot 52% from the floor and made 14-30 three point attempts.
MCLA was paced by Kylah Langston's team best 14 point night. Olivia Pressley added 10 points for the Trailblazers.
MCLA shot just 25% and committed 21 turnovers.
The Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday when they head to Mount Holyoke for a 6pm tip off.
