Salem State Sails Past Women’s Basketball 75-38

SALEM, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team traveled to Salem State this evening for the penultimate road game of the MASCAC regular season. Senior Maddie Teta scored a season-high 11 points to lead the Trailblazers, but 21 points from Abuk Teng and 20 points from Kylie Gates allowed the Vikings to sweep the season series.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
- Salem State jumped out to a large lead early, leading 20-10 after one quarter, and doubled their lead to 20 points after a 16-6 second quarter and went into the locker room at halftime up 36-16 and never looked back.
- Senior Maddie Teta led the Trailblazers with a season-high 11 points. This was the first time that Teta reached double-digit points since she closed out the last MASCAC regular season with 13 and 12 points against Worcester State and Bridgewater State, respectively.
- Sophomore Ashlyn Bill tied her career-high with nine points, matching the total she scored last season against Worcester State.
- MCLA's Zaylee Ramos cleaned up on the boards, gathering a team-high 11 rebounds, including 10 on the defensive end. Ramos also contributed seven points and an assist.
- Freshman Laney Martin scored a career-high eight points in 21 minutes off the bench. Martin also pulled down a pair of rebounds and handed out two dimes.
- The Viking's Abuk Teng finished with a double-double, scoring 21 points and taking in 10 rebounds. Kylie Gates also reached double-digits in points, scoring 20 points on 8-14 shooting, including a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc.
- Salem State's Nicolette D'Itria snatched a game-high 14 rebounds.
