Barney Sets Saves Record as Women’s Hockey Fall to Williams College

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Ice Hockey team traveled down Route 2 for a non-conference matchup with Williams College this evening, falling to the Ephs by a score of 7-0 at the Lansing Chapman Rink. Juliette Barney finished the game with 69 saves for MCLA, while Lucie Bond and Jaelyn Keiver each scored a pair of goals for Williams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williams College bookended a pair of three-goal periods around a single second-period goal to finish the game with seven unanswered goals.
- MCLA's Juliette Barney faced a program-record 76 shots on goal and finished with a program-record 69 saves. The previous highs of 67 shots on goal and 61 saves had been set by Katie O'Brien in the Trailblazers' November 11th game against Worcester State.
- The Ephs' Jaelyn Keiver and Lucie Bond each finished with two goals scored, respectively scoring the first and second goals in both the first and third periods
- Williams had six players record multi-point games, led by Bond with four points (two goals & two assists), Keiver (two goals & one assist), and Leah Rubinshteyn (one goal and two assists) with three each. Claire Murphy (one goal & one assist), Katherine King (two assists), and Robin Kitazono (two assists) rounded out the multi-point scorers.
