Women's Ice Hockey Upended in OT by Salem State

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Hockey team looked to bounce back after a tough 3-2 loss last night to Plymouth State with a non-conference matchup with the Salem State Vikings at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink. Despite goals from Nicolette Bardsley and Rozene Sabeti-Seidel, the Trailblazers will have to stew through their winter break thinking of what could have been after three unanswered goals from the Vikings made them OT winners.

- Nicolette Bardsley put MCLA on top with an unassisted goal just 1:21 into the first.
- Sabeti-Seidel scored her first of the year to make the score 2-0 early in the second.
- Megan Azzato scored for the second straight night to bring Salem State to within a goal at 9:40 of the second.
- Mallory Albanese tied the game up at 2-2 for the Vikings with a power-play goal with less than eight minutes remaining.
- Greenleaf then scored her third power-play goal of the season in overtime to secure the win for Salem State.
