MCLA overpowers Bay Path 7-0

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer team erupted for two goals in the opening three minutes and never looked back in a 7-0 triumph over visiting Bay Path.  Five different Trailblazers found the back of the net as MCLA improved to 4-2-2 while Bay Path drops to 1-7.

Lauren Ford got MCLA off to a flying start as she knocked home a shot from 30 yards out just 43 seconds into the game giving MCLA an early 1-0 edge.  Jess Tietgens would add her team leading fifth goal just three minutes later off a Danielle Parenteau assist.  Lauren Fender and Lindsay Borbolla would each add their first goals of the season as the Trailblazers opened up the 4-0 halftime advantage.

MCLA continued their torrid pace adding three second half goals to their total.  Tietgens and Borbolla would add a second tally as MCLA continued the attack on the Wildcats side of the field.  Brianna Bresett also found the back of the net in the second stanza.

MCLA keeper Kate Tsapatsaris earned the win in goal for the Trailblazers, Janise Shabazz suffered the loss for Bay Path.

MCLA will face MASCAC foe Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday in Buzzards Bay at 1pm.
