MCLA earns point in double overtime tie at Salem

Salem, MA- MCLA's Jen Wehner stopped 16 shots to earn her second straight shutout as the Trailblazers played to a double overtime draw at Salem State this afternoon.  The tie gives Salem State a record of 4-3-2, 0-1-1 in conference and MCLA holds a record of 1-5-1, 0-1-1 in conference.

The Vikings best opportunity came at the start of the second half when Jackie Gauthier (Danvers, MA) made a move on goal and rifled a shot that went off the goalposts and Casey Connolly (Nahant, MA) shot the rebound, but Wehner made a diving save to stop the attack.

Vikings goaltender Leah Potcner (Wilmington, MA) had 1 save while the Trailblazers' Wehner saved 16 shots.

Salem State's next game is at Alumni Field on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.  MCLA plays home again Wednesday at 4:00 PM against Green Mountain.
