Trailblazers fall on the road at Mount Holyoke 3-0

South Hadley, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Mount Holyoke on Wednesday afternoon.  Mount Holyoke earned their fifth win of the season to improve to 5-10 overall, while MCLA drops to 6-9-1.

The Trailblazers play their regular season finale on Saturday when they host Bridgewater State at 1pm.

The Lyons got on the board just three minutes into the action as Mary Cooke scored after a turnover deep in the MCLA box.  The tally would be the only one of the half.

The second period saw the hosts turn up the pressure and Kiana Lussier took a through pass, made a few moves through the MCLA defense before finding the back of the net for a 2-0 advantage.  Lussier would tack on another in the 79th minute, this time off a Cooke cross to extend to the final margin.

Mount Holyoke outshot MCLA 24-10 on the day.  Mackenzie Randall earned the win, combining with Emily Shank on the shutout.  Randall stopped 3 shots on the day.

MCLA's Jen Wehner absorbed the loss after playing the opening half.  Danielle Heinsohn played the second half.
