Women's Soccer rallies past Framingham 2-1 in MASCAC action

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer team scored twice in the final fourteen minutes and Kayla Baker drilled the game winner as the Trailblazers rallied past the visiting Framingham State Rams 2-1 this afternoon in MASCAC play.  With the win, the Trailblazers second straight, they improve to 2-8 overall and is now 1-3 in the league.  The Rams drop to 2-8-1 overall and are 0-4 in the conference.

The Rams outshot MCLA 32-6, however the Trailblazers made the most of their opportunities.  FSU actually got on the board first in the 75th minute when a cross was deflected into the Trailblazer net for an own goal.  

MCLA would answer just one minute later.  Lauren Mangiardi would connect with Kaylyn Holliday, who would pound it home to tie the game at 1-1 with just over thirteen minutes left to play.  That's when Baker would make her play for MCLA.

In the 82nd minute, she would convert an unassisted goal, her first of the season, to give the hosts a 2-1 edge over the Rams.  Framingham couldn't get the equalizer over the final eight minutes securing the win for the Trailblazers.

MCLA's Megan Richardson earned her second straight victory stopping 11 shots in goal.

Jennifer Stevens stopped a pair of shots for the Rams.

MCLA is back in action next Saturday when they travel to Fitchburg State.
