Women's Soccer blanked on the road by Sage 1-0

Albany, NY- Sage College's Reagan Fesette tallied the games only goal in the 50th minute to propel the Gators to a 1-0 win over visiting MCLA this evening in non league play.  The Gators improve to 3-0 while MCLA drops to 1-2 overall.

The Gators controlled the contest from start to finish, but had trouble getting the ball past MCLA's Megan Richardson.  Richardson kept the Gators off the board in the opening half of play, but in the second half, Sage turned up the heat.

Richardson faced 21 shots in the second half alone, but Fesette finally slipped one by her.  She converted a feed from Lydia Malkiewicz to put the hosts up 1-0.  Sage continued to pressure the MCLA defense but Richardson kept MCLA in the match.

The Gators outshot MCLA 31-0 in the contest, including 13 on net.  They also held a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.

Mickaela Buzzy earned the start in goal, but Natalie Tidings played the second half and was credited with the win.

MCLA is back in action on Tuesday when they head to Castleton for a 4pm tilt.
