Baker selected to first team, Moore earns second team All MASCAC in women's soccer

2018 All MASCAC Women's Soccer Team

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer team placed three players on the All MASCAC team that was released this morning.  Trailblazer seniors Kayla Baker and Megan Richardson were first team selections, while sophomore Cetera Moore was honored with a second team nod.  Richardson was also voted as the Defensive Player of the Year for her efforts.

Ali Maldonado of Worcester State was selected as the conference's player of the year while Delaney Langton of Bridgewater State was the rookie of the year.  Yasmina Carvalho of BSU was tabbed as the Champions Choice Coach of the Year.

Baker was an anchor all season for the Trailblazer defense.  She started all 17 games and helped lead a defense that was third best in the league allowing just 28 goals all season.  The senior also recorded a goal and an assist.  Both came in a win over Northern Vermont University - Johnson in October.  The first team honor is the first for Baker in a Trailblazer uniform.

Moore was selected as a second team midfielder after a great first year campaign at MCLA.  She also started all 17 games for head coach Deb Raber and collected a goal and a team best 3 assists on the season.  She collected two assists in the win over NVU- Johnson and added a goal and an assist in a win over SUNY Poly.
