Moore earns second team All MASCAC honors

2019 All MASCAC Women's Soccer Team

North Adams, MA- For the second straight season, MCLA midfielder Cetera Moore has been selected to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) second team.  The voting was conducted by the league's eight head coaches. 

Lydia Kinsman of Westfield State and Megan Richardson of MCLA have earned the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Salem State's Nicolle Wood and Madison Pesce were named the Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year respectively.

 
Moore had another solid season for the Trailblazers.  She scored a team best 6 goals and 13 points.  She would save her best performances for last as she tallied a pair of goals over MCLA's final two conference contests.  She added a five point game early in the season with a pair of goals and an assist against NVU-Johnson.  
 
Sitting on the MASCAC First Team with Kinsman and Richardson are Kaitlyn Bongarzone, Cassie Brown and Alana Vincent of Bridgewater State, Camryn O'Leary of Framingham State, Emily Boyle of Salem State, Jenn Rennich and Morgan Remington of Westfield State and Maddie Fong and Hannah Foster of Worcester State.
 
Earning a spot on the 2019 MASCAC Second Team along with Moore are Salem State's Pesce, Kellie Souza and Samantha Tomaszewski of Bridgewater State, Emma McNally of Massachusetts Maritime, Katie Brown, Colleen Hurley and Devyn Malatesta of Salem State and Tsara LeBlanc, Ali Maldonado and Christina Spinos of Worcester State.
 
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's first Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom. MASCAC core member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sports of football and men's ice hockey, while Western Connecticut State University joined the conference as an affiliate member in football beginning in 2013.
